 | Good replacementReplaced my firepot on my Traeger Silverton after 5 years of pretty heavy usage. It was an easy replacement and is a pretty robust piece of metal...hoping it lasts another 5 years. One small glitch however...the little wing nut screws they gave me all went in just fine except the last one...I figured it was just typical of reinstalling things...sometimes the last screw or bolt won't go in well. However, I looked closer at the wing nut screw and it had no threads (see photo)! Must have been misproduced and not caught. No big deal...I had retained the original wing nut screws and it was all good. A note about replacing the hotrod...make sure you hook some heavy duty twine to the connector end of the old one out before removing it. I think it would be pretty hard to rethread the new connector back through the feed chute and then into the 90º turn on the Silverton without having the ability to pull it through. | Was This Helpful? |
